Holy crapola that's just unfair! How dare you be so talented! Seriously, that is incredible, it must have taken forever, i love the jeans, they look so incredibly real, and the hair and just everything, just WOW! Stuff like this makes me want to never draw again, lol, just because my drawings look so awful in comparison.
WHAT!! your skill at drawing is amazing...i thought this was a photo...(and that would mean you some how also developed a time machine to be friend kirk and snap his picture ahah)...this is really amazing!
You said you were wondering if you can recognize people without looking at their face? Well, I wanted you to know that the first thing I thought when I saw this thumbnail was, "Kurt?" ;] Great picture, btw. I love his bruised knee. It adds so much to the mood.
Th rendering of the jeans is amazing - and the above poster was right in saying that although you can not see his face its obvious who this is. Its inspiring me to no end - portraits with no faces!! Lovely work.

I've actually been toying with that idea for a while now, contemplating the different pieces I could create with it. When you take away a person's face, can you still recognize them? It says a lot about what an icon he is - the hair, the flannel, and the guitar.
You know, I always wanted to "make" myself a Hendrix guitar from a left handed Strat in order to get stuff right like the tremelo arm hang, modified string length (inverted head stock), reverse pickup pole piece staggering, etc etc.
You know the story about the Jag Stang right? Curt described it over and over but they couldn't get the shape right so he took two Polaroids, one of each guitar, stuck them together and bam, it was just there and perfect.
Oh, yeah, nice drawing! Ah, but you knew that already

I actually have a shirt with the two Polaroids on it! It's one of my favorites.
I helped buy my ex-boyfriend a brand new Jaguar once a while ago, and I ended up being very envious. They're great guitars. I haven't seen a JagStang up for sale in a while, though. I think everyone's pretty much hanging on to theirs.
